The much-awaited 24th James Bond film will be titled Spectre [+see also:

, producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli of Eon Productions and director Sam Mendes have announced at the 007 sound stage at Pinewood Studios in London. Spectre commences principal photography on December 8 and will be filming at Pinewood London, Mexico City, Rome, Tangier and Erfoud, Morocco, and Sölden, Obertilliach and Lake Altausee, Austria. Daniel Craig returns as the iconic British spy, and joining him are Christoph Waltz as Oberhauser, Léa Seydoux as Madeleine Swann, Monica Bellucci as Lucia Sciarra, David Bautista as Mr Hinx and Andrew Scott as Denbigh.

Other returning cast includes Rory Kinnear as Tanner, Ben Whishaw as Q, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, and Ralph Fiennes as M. The last Bond outing Skyfall collected more than $1.1 billion worldwide. Skyfall [+see also:

writers John Logan, Neil Purvis and Rob Wade return to the Bond team as do Production Designer Dennis Gassner, Composer Thomas Newman, and Costume Designer Jany Temime. Director of Photography Hoyte Van Hoytema (Interstellar [+see also:

) and Editor Lee Smith (Elysium) are new additions to the team.

In Spectre, a cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind Spectre

Wilson and Broccoli said, “We’re excited to announce Daniel’s fourth instalment in the series and thrilled that Sam has taken on the challenge of following on the success of Skyfall with Spectre.”

Spectre will release on November 6, 2015.
