Oscars announce shortlist for Best Foreign Language Film

- Force Majeure, Ida, Corn Island and Timbuktu, among the shortlisted films
The Academy of Motion Picture, Arts and Sciences has announced that nine foreign films have been shortlisted from 83 originally submitted for the Oscar for Best Foreign Film. Only five films will make the list of finalists which is to be unveiled on January 15, 2015. The awards will be handed out February 22nd in a ceremony at the Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles.
The films, listed in alphabetical order by country, are:
