Following two series of announcements, in the run-up to Christmas and last week, the organisers of the 65th Berlin Film Festival (5-15 February) have unveiled the last few titles, thus rounding off the programme of the Competition section. All in all, the programme comprises 19 hopefuls for the Bears and four titles out of competition. Twenty-one of these 23 movies will be screening as world premieres at the gathering.

It is also worth pointing out that 16 of the films on the programme are European productions or co-productions.

Here is the list of the titles that round off the Berlin 2015 Competition selection:

- Aferim! by Radu Jude (Romania/Bulgaria/Czech Republic)
- El botón de nácar (The Pearl Button) by Patricio Guzmán (France/Chile/Spain) – documentary
- El Club (The Club) by Pablo Larraín (Chile)
- Ten no chasuke (Chasuke's Journey) by Sabu (Japan)
- Vergine giurata (Sworn Virgin) by Laura Bispuri (Italy/Switzerland/Germany/Albania/Kosovo)
- Elser (13 Minutes) by Oliver Hirschbiegel (Germany) – out of competition
- Every Thing Will Be Fine by Wim Wenders (Germany/Canada/France/Sweden/Norway), starring James Franco, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Rachel McAdams and Marie-Josée Croze – out of competition

- Eisenstein in Guanajuato by Peter Greenaway (Netherlands/Mexico/Belgium/Finland)
- 45 Years by Andrew Haigh (UK)
- Pod electricheskimi oblakami (Under Electric Clouds) by Alexey German (Russia/Ukraine/Poland)
- Cha và con và (Big Father, Small Father and Other Stories) by Di Phan Dang (Vietnam/France/Germany/Netherlands)
