Hailed as one of the biggest revelations of the Berlinale, and enjoying an enthusiastic welcome from both the audience and the critics, the film, co-produced by French outfit Tu Vas Voir, is set in Guatemala, at the heart of a Mayan community: a world immersed in the untamed wilderness, and teetering between ancestral beliefs and distant echoes of the modern world.
