film profile], to participate in its annual Build Your Audience scheme, a mentorship programme that offers practical solutions to filmmakers looking to identify, develop and maximise audiences for their films in today’s crowded marketplace. The scheme is funded by Creative Skillset and supported by VOD platform We Are Colony. Industry speakers at workshops will include Ed Fletcher (Soda Pictures), Debbie Gray (producer, Northern Soul), Marcus Markou (writer/director, Papadopoulos & Sons [+see also:

film profile]), Jeremy Baxter (Pinewood Studios), Pete Buckingham (SampoMedia) and Sarah Tierney (We Are Colony).

Adrian Wootton, Chief Executive of Film London and British Film Commission said, “We have seen significant shifts in the distribution world in recent years, and negotiating this constantly changing landscape is no mean feat. Build Your Audience allows filmmakers to drill down into the fundamentals of traditional sales and distribution methods, while also interrogating new and pioneering models to find the right fit for their project.”
