64 projects selected at Cross Video Days

Sixty-four projects have been selected for the Content Market at Cross Video Days from 11 to 12 June. After a successful call for projects - which saw 378 projects received from 51 countries - the official selection is full of surprises and ingenuity.

This selection is particularly significant for Cross Video Days, which became a renowned international market in just a couple of years. As proof of this, English became the first language of production, with 59.8% of the received projects. From transmedia feature films to interactive documentaries, via video games, web series and virtual reality, each project offers an unrivalled narrative universe as fascinating as it is unique. While web is the most represented format, the projects are all about the multiplicity of genres and platforms. They outgrow the standards imposed by traditional screens and offer more and more innovative creations. All selected projects are now available on the Cross Video Days site

For the selected projects, Cross Video Days offers individual one-to-one meetings with the influential commissioners: BBCZDF, Sony Pictures, France Télévisions, Arte, Canal+ and more will be attending the market. Also, 18 selected projects will have the opportunity to pitch in public and will be broadcast via live streaming: a unique chance to boost their visibility through the worldwide web.

As the partnership between the Cannes Film Festival Film Market has been renewed for the "Cinema & Transmedia" category, Cross Video Days is organising a pitching session with the five selected projects at Cannes, on Saturday 16 May, at 10:30 am at the Palais K, (Bory Room, 4th floor). The event partners of Cross Video Days Filmteractive, Power to the Pixel, I_Doc, The Financing Forum for Kids Content and MIFA have also participated in the selection of six projects.
