After four films at Cannes, Film i Väst returns to a busy schedule

Now, Film i Väst CEO Tomas Eskilsson has returned to Sweden and a busy production schedule for the centre, which has, since its opening in 1992, co-produced approximately 450 features, today operating on an annual investment budget of €10 million.
The new line-up is spearheaded by two productions announced at Cannes: Swedish director Daniel Espinosa’s new adaptation of Swedish author Vilhelm Moberg’s 1950 classic The Emigrants (which Jan Troell filmed in 1971, a version that was nominated for five Oscars), and Danish director Per Fly’s The Killing of Hammarskjöld, about the life of Swedish diplomat and UN Secretary General Dag Hammarskjöld.
