Written by the director, the story revolves around Constance (Marina Foïs), a woman who has been fired and who now finds herself in an unbearable financial position. When she finds out that the estate agent where she first started working is hiring, she leaves Paris and heads back to her hometown. But it is actually 20-year-old Audrey (Joséphine Japy) who lands the job. Constance has only one obsession: to annihilate her in order to get her job back.
Produced by Caroline Bonmarchand for Avenue B Productions, Irréprochable is co-produced by Orange Studio, which acquired the rights for distribution in French theatres and international sales. Having been pre-purchased by Ciné+, the film is also backed by the Poitou-Charentes region (where almost all of the shoot will take place until 25 July), the Charente-Maritime department, and the SofiTVciné and Soficinéma Soficas. Interestingly, the score will be composed by Alex Beaupain (winner of the César Award in 2008 for Love Songs [+see also:
