Launched officially at Cannes in 2014 by the CNC (National Centre of Cinematography and the Moving Image) and the GFC (Greek Film Centre), and set in motion last November (read the news), the bilateral fund aimed at encouraging the development of co-productions of feature films between France and Greece has unveiled the first of its two selections for 2015. The committee has chosen five projects from among 15 hopefuls.

Standing out among them are three projects of French initiative: Virus by Angelos Frantzis (who turned heads at Rotterdam in 2010 with In the Woods [+see also:

), which will be backed to the tune of €105,000, A mon âge, je me cache encore pour fumer by Rayhana Obermeyer (supported with €40,000), which has already received financial assistance from Arte France Cinéma (read the news), and Demain je traverserai by Sepideh Farsi (€95,000 – staged by Ciné-Sud Promotion).
