The De Serio brothers' River Memories will be out of competition in Venice
- Tharlo by Tibetan director Pema Tseden will screen in the Orizzonti section, which will be opened by Rodrigo Plá's A Monster with a Thousand Heads

Two new titles complete the line-up of the 72nd Venice International Film Festival (2-12 September).
Tharlo (in the Orizzonti section) is a film directed by Tibetan director Pema Tseden, based on a short story written by the director himself. Tibetan actor, poet and musician Shidé Nyima has been cast in the leading role as Tharlo.

film profile]) is a documentary about the platz, the large shanty town where over a thousand people of different nationalities live on the banks of the Stura river, in Turin. The place was recently the object of a major project to dismantle it and move part of the families into normal homes.
The opening film of the Orizzonti section has also been announced: it will be A Monster with a Thousand Heads by Rodrigo Plá (Mexico).
