No wonder Nordisk Film Production’s Tomas Radoor and René Ezra have started principal photography for The Reunion 3: The Christening, the third instalment in the franchise, which Nordisk has scheduled for domestic release on 6 October 2016. Denmark’s TrustNordisk is handling international sales.

The production team, which also supplied the first and second comedies about the old classmates who meet up again 20 years after they left school, will this time work with award-winning Danish director Birger Larsen, who made his most recent feature in Sweden: Crimes of Passion – Death of a Loved One (2013).

The script for the €3.2 million production has been supplied by regular The Reunion writers Claudia Boderke and Lars Mering, who have so far not disclosed a single line of the plot. The project, which will shoot until 30 October, is backed by Danish commercial broadcaster TV2 and the Danish Film Institute.

The project is also another reunion for the three Danish actors playing the leads as Andreas, Niels and Thomas – Anders W Berthelsen, Nicolaj Kopernikus and Troels Lyby, who have also personally known each other since theatre school.
