Assassination in Antwerp

by

Belgian filmmaker Erik Van Looy (Ad Fundum Shades) is shooting The Alzheimer Case on location in Antwerp. The film is based on Jef Geeraert’s best-selling novel of the same name about an Italian assassin who starts to suffer from the first symptoms of Alzheimer’s. His last commission is a double murder in Belgium. When he refuses his next job, the murder of a 12 year old girl, he becomes caught up in an infernal spiral. Jan Decleir, Koen de Bouw and Werner De Smedt are some of the stars of the Belgian-Dutch co-production budgeted at Euros2.45million. Belgian participation is guaranteed by Erwin Provoost and Hilde De Laere and the film is scheduled for a domestic release in October.
