The Belgian Ministry for the French Community has published the The 2003 Audiovisual Yearbook. The first volume contains an overview of the Belgian film industry, with information on the process from production to sales, and also takes a look at the video market and the growth of DVD and new technologies. A study highlights the problem of the little success that Belgian cinema has in its own territory, it presently occupies only 2.51 per cent of the market. The second volume was created in collaboration with Edimedia, an Internet site that contains a complete database of the professional figures active in the Belgian film industry, and provides extensive contact information for industry professionals.
