) to join her in the romantic comedy SMS für Dich [+see also:

, in which she also plays the female lead. In the movie, a young woman can’t cope with the loss of her one true love. It has already been two years since her boyfriend died in a car crash, but she still sends text messages to his mobile phone. However, she has no idea that this number has been given to a sports journalist who has got stuck in a dysfunctional relationship. The story is based on the novel of the same name by Sofie Cramer, and the script was penned by Andrea Willson, Malte Welding and Karoline Herfurth.

After 39 days of shooting in and around Berlin, the production of SMS für Dich has now wrapped. The prominent locations of the movie include the concert hall in the Gendarmenmarkt, the Theater des Westens, the German Historical Museum and the Zoological Garden. German DoP Andreas Berger (Dreamgirls [+see also:

) was behind the camera, while the production design was entrusted to Christian M Goldbeck (Krabat [+see also:

, White House Down) designed the costumes.

The romantic comedy is being produced by Christopher Doll and Lothar Hellinger through Berlin-based outfit Hellinger/Doll Filmproduktion. The co-producers are Willi Geike and Jaqueline Jagow, of Warner Bros Pictures Germany, who were already on board the production of Hellinger/Doll’s first feature, Dreamgirls. SMS für Dich received production support from the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, the Federal Film Board and the German Federal Film Fund. Warner Bros Pictures Germany is planning to release the picture theatrically in 2016.
