14/01/2016 - Inter-generational drama stars Juliet Stevenson and Jodhi May

Writer/Director Polly Steele (Lena: Bride of Ice) has commenced principal photography at Surrey locations on Let Me Go [+see also:

film profile], based on Helga Schneider’s memoir of the same name. The film follows four generations of women impacted by the decision of Schneider’s mother Traudi’s decision to walk out on her family and join the Nazi SS during World War II where she trained to be a concentration camp guard and was assigned to the Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp.

The cast is led by four-time BAFTA nominee Juliet Stevenson (Departure [+see also:

film profile]), Lucy Boynton (Sing Street [+see also:

film profile]), Éva Magyar (Villmark 2 [+see also:

film profile]), Abhin Galeya, Stanley Weber, Simona Hughes and Elizabeth Webster.

David Broder (Some People Don't Get Football, I Don’t Get Those People) and Lizzie Pickering are producing for In Trust Films, a company newly founded by them along with Steele and Executive Producer Georges Tsitos.

After a three-week stint in Surrey, the production will move to London and then on to Vienna. The film’s composer is Philip Selway, drummer for iconic band Radiohead. Cinematography is by Michael Wood (Stop at Nothing: The Lance Armstrong Story) and editing by Daniel Goddard (The Arbor [+see also:
