Ten feature films and ten shorts are on the line-up in competition at the sixth edition of MyFrenchFilmFestival, the event unspooling online from 18 January-18 February helmed by UniFrance, the agency for the promotion of French film abroad. And for the very first time, a foreign director will chair the jury: Nicolas Winding Refn. The Danish filmmaker will be flanked by Belgium’s Felix Van Groeningen, France’s Marjane Satrapi and Valérie Donzelli, and US director David Robert Mitchell. This jury will hand out the Directors’ Award, while cybernauts will decide on the Audience Award and five foreign journalists will choose the recipient of the International Press Award.

The 2016 selection is accessible in ten languages (German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Romanian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese and Russian) directly on the MyFrenchFilmFestival website or via 37 partner platforms (including iTunes in more than 90 countries). Interestingly, the features are available to watch free of charge in Latin America, Poland, India, Russia and Africa, while viewers must pay a fee everywhere else either via a festival pack system or by buying them individually. The shorts, meanwhile, are accessible for free all around the globe.
