Meeting in Malmö
The 10th edition of the Nordisk Forum for Co-financinc of Documentaries is scheduled to run in the Swedish city of Malmö on 22 and 23 September 2003. As the title implies, this is an annual meeting for the area’s documentary producers, TV programming editors, film institute and regional film fund representatives.
26 new projects will be presented to the 35 investors taking part in the Forum (no single company can present more than 3 projects).
Past editions of the Forum were very successful, with some 47 finance deals signed that were worth a total of Euros850,000. Between 70 per cent and 80 per cent of projects presented found financing here at the Forum.
This year’s novelties include producers from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania whose projects will be offered the same opportunities as those of their Nordic counterparts.
The deadline for project submissions is 16 June 2003 and observers have until 11 August 2003 to send in their entry forms which can be downloaded from www.filmkontakt.dk.
