Rams collects 11 Edda Awards
- Having already garnered 17 international prizes, Icelandic director Grímur Hákonarson has now cleaned the table at the Icelandic Film & TV Academy ceremony

Hákonarson also wrote the story of two brothers who live side by side in the remote valley of Bárdardalur, but who have not spoken in 40 years. Now they are forced to set aside their feud to save what is dearest to them: their sheep stock and prized rams.
Rams won for Best Film, Best Original Screenplay, Best Director, Best Cinematography and Best Editing – and Sigurður Sigurjónsson and Theodór Júlíusson were awarded for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor.
The Eddas for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress went to Steinunn Ólína Thorsteinsdóttir and Birna Rún Eiríksdóttir for their performances in Baldvin Z’s TV series Case: Ritual of Abduction. Baltasar Kormákur’s mystery-thriller Trapped left with the Edda for Best TV Series.
