The first call for tenders, worth €1,200,000, is aimed at national and international productions made (even partially) in the region. Applications will be assessed on an individual basis and funds will be granted until they have been exhausted, between 2 March and 31 July 2016. A company can submit up to two projects, choosing between feature films, films and series for TV, documentaries/docu-fictions, and web series, which may also be made using animation techniques. The maximum funding amount is set at €150,000 for feature films and films and series for TV, €50,000 for documentaries/docu-fictions, and €25,000 for web series.

The second call for tenders, worth €400,000, is reserved for companies with their registered office or operational unit in Emilia-Romagna, and there will be two opportunities to submit applications: the first from now until 6 April 2016 and the second from 26 July until 26 August 2016. The third call for tenders is also reserved for regional companies, and supports the development of films and audiovisual works with €75,000: the deadline for submitting applications is 30 March 2016.

These three calls are boosted by a further two calls for tenders granting funds for organising and holding festivals and events for films and audiovisual works, totalling €1,090,000. The first is to support biennial events (for 2016-2017) costing €300,000 or more annually. The second is to support annual projects (for 2016) costing between €20,000 and €300,000 annually. A total of €620,000 will be made available through the first call, whilst €470,000 will be made available through the second. The deadline for submitting applications for both is 25 March 2016.

The calls for tender will be managed by the Emilia-Romagna Film Commission. For more information contact filmcom@regione.emilia-romagna.it. For more information on the audiovisual fund, please click here. For more information on support in holding film festivals and events, please click here.
