film profile] by Goran Radovanović, a co-production between Germany and Serbia, was the winning film in the Competition Section of the 34th Bergamo Film Meeting. The award, which consists of a cash prize of €5,000, is intended to be a tangible way of providing aid to those productions that invest in young auteurs, as well as a way of showing appreciation for quality cinema. Yesterday, Davide Ferrario, the president of the festival, gave out the awards voted on by the public.

Over nine days, the 34th edition of the Bergamo Film Meeting had more than 140 films on offer – including features, documentaries and shorts – as well as premieres, cult movies and meetings with auteurs. It boasted visits from various guests, such as Anna Karina, Shane Meadows, Petr Zelenka, Jasmila Žbanić, Vladimir Leschiov and Keren Cytter.
