Long live Turkish cinema !

Brussels, Antwerp and Hasselt are hosting a festival celebrating the 40th anniversary of mass Turkish immigration to Belgium.
Turkish Film Days is organised by the Turkish embassy and Kinepolis and comes right after the Cannes triumph of Uzak, a virtual one-man-band production by Nuri Bilge Ceylan.
The programme includes Güle Güle ("Goodbye") by Zeki Ökten,Oyunbozan by Nesli Colgecen, O Da Beni Seviyor by Baris Pirhasan, Dar Alanda Kisa Paslasmalar by Serdar Akar, Melekler Evi and Akrebin Yolculugu by Ömer Kavur. On 31 May Belgian director, Stijn Coninx will moderate a discussion about Turkish cinema at the Metropolis cinema in Antwerp.
