Written by the Manetti Bros and Michelangelo La Neve, the story revolves around a Camorra mafia boss who decides to radically change his life and attempts to vanish off the radar any way he can, with the help of his cunning wife. Meanwhile, a nurse with her head in the clouds and a much-feared hitman are torn between their past and an uncertain future. Their paths intertwine amidst music, action, love and hails of bullets.
Produced by Madeleine Film and Manetti bros Film, with Rai Cinema, in conjunction with Tam Tam and with backing from the Regione Campania Film Commission, Ammore e Malavita will also boast choreography by Luca Tommassini, music by Pivio and Aldo De Scalzi, and lyrics by Nelson. The eight-week shoot will take place in Naples and, briefly, New York. The film will be distributed in theatres in 2017, courtesy of 01 Distribution.
