The story about a German Jewish prosecutor whose efforts helped capture Adolf Eichmann, set against a backdrop of the suppression of homosexual prostitution during the 1950s and 1960s, won the Gold Lola for Best Film, as well as those for Best Screenplay, Director, Production Design, Costumes and Supporting Actor (Ronald Zehrfield, the doctor in Babara [+see also:

The title, which was unveiled at Toronto, centres around a former boxer turned bouncer and debt-collector, who, after discovering his days are numbered, takes on the challenges of training a young champion and reuniting with his daughter. Peter Kurth’s lauded role earned him the title of Best Actor, with the film also winning the Award for Best Cinematography.
Also of note was Laura Tonke’s double win – the actress took home both the Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress Awards. In terms of youth cinema, one of the current champions of German Film, Alain Gsponer, distinguished himself with his take on the well-known Swiss novel, Heidi [+see also:
