 and Peter Foott’s The Young Offenders are the joint winners of Best Irish Feature Film at the 28th Galway Film Fleadh (5-10 July). Mad Mary lead actress Seana Kerslake was conferred the Bingham Ray New Talent Award. Frankie Fenton’s It’s Not Yet Dark [+see also:

won Best Irish Feature Documentary, while David Kinsella’s The Wall won Best Human Rights Feature. Philip John’s Moon Dogs [+see also:

won Best International First Feature, while Taika Waititi’s Hunt for the Wilderpeople won Best International Feature.

Veteran Irish director Jim Sheridan was bestowed the prestigious Galway Hooker Lifetime Achievement Award.
