The festival will run until 18 July, offering a lavish line-up of more than 200 films from 36 countries, including a Hong Sang-Soo retrospective, which will be attended by the famous Korean maestro.

Among the 17 titles duking it out in the international competition, 12 will be having their world premieres, including the French-Brazilian co-production Mata Atlantica by Nicolas Klotz and Elisabeth Perceval (a duo renowned for their titles Pariah, The Wound [+see also:

As a final note, the documentaries Draguino by Clément Cogitore (a French-Finnish co-production, currently in pre-production), Je sentais que mon visage était de feu by Nicolas Klotz and Elisabeth Perceval (in production), Communism by Karel Vachek (Czech Republic/Slovakia; in pre-production), Les heures heureuses by Marine Deyres (France/Switzerland) and Sauvagerie by the French duo of Jonathan Le Fourn and Rémi de Gaalon (in post-production) are among the ten projects selected for this year’s FIDLab co-production support platform (eighth edition from 15-16 July).
