SFI goes for DVD
A farewell to VHS. The Swedish Film Institute (SFI) decided to bring its homevideo distribution up-to-date and will be retiring the dear old VHS in favour of DVD as of 25 August.
That is the launch date for two titles. The first is reissue of a classic Swedish documentary by John Donner and entitled Ebba the Movie. The second, Bästa Knattefilmerna 1 is a selection of children's films that includes the following short films, Binke kan inte flyga, Kalle Stropp och Grodan Boll and Lilla syster kanin.
November will see the release of Bröderna Mozart by Suzanne Osten and the second part of the children's package, Bästa Knattefilmerna 2 which contains the following shorts: Mamman och den vilda bebin, Vem ska trösta knyttet?, Ur en kos dagbok and Sjörövarfilmen.
