by

- Set against a neo-Nazi backdrop, Matar al ángel is a tale of love and violence and the Iberian novelist and screenwriter’s directorial debut, starring Yael Barnatán

Daniel Múgica based his directorial feature debut, Matar al ángel, on a group of neo-Nazi terrorists. This tale of a judge’s daughter who falls in love with a Spanish right-wing terrorist went into production today on location in Madrid and it stars Yael Barntán (All About My Mother) and Miguel hermoso. Novelist and screenwriter Múgica said that the film will be crude but ultimately optimistic; where love and friendship prevail over prejudice and powergames.
The Euros1.5m film will be made over a six-week period on location in Madrid and Toledo and produced by Múgica and Mateo Caboni’s new company called Ruth Productions, with funding from state broadcaster TVE and Vía Digital.
