Italian Screenings in Perugia

by

The 3rd consecutive edition of the Italian Screenings are scheduled to run in Perugia, Umbria, from 3-6 July. The event is unique in that it is Italy’s only market dedicated to presenting top quality recent productions to domestic and international film industry operators.
Organised by Italia Cinema, ICE (Istituto per il commercio estero), Unefa and Perugia Town Hall, with, for the first time this year, support from Italy’s leading industry market, MIFED, Italian Screenings will provide some sixty distributors from all over the globe to meet and discuss projects with Italian film exporters, and to see 25 films in the town’s cinemas and a further 80 in the video library facilities.

The event will get underway with a special screening of Marco Tullio Giordana’s La meglio gioventù [+see also:

at the Teatro Pavone Cinema in Perugia. The screenings will end on a high note with Mario Sesti’s L’ultima sequenza, a collage of Fellini’s outtakes from his celebrated 8 ½.
Past editions of the Italian Screenings saw the participation of companies like Miramax, Sony, German state broadcaster ZDF, Franco-German TV network Arté, Palace, Alliance, Pyramide, Diaphana, Fine Line, Samuel Goldwyn, Channel Four and BBC.
