TRAINING UK

Bursaries for 4 key areas

by

Scottish Screen, the organisation that together with the Scottish Executive works to promote film and audiovisual production in that country, has set up bursaries for what it considers to be four priority training areas in the audiovisual industry.

The amounts earmarked for each category represent a maximum of 80 per cent of the cost of the courses and only Scottish professionals, or those based in that country, are eligible to apply. The categories, respective amounts and application deadlines are as follows:
Independent Companies - up to £8,000 (Euros11,500) by 15 August 2003.

Professional Producers - up to £2,000 (Euros2,880) by 4 July 2003, 3 October 2003 and 16 Jan 2004.

Various amounts of money will be made available for the successful applicants to the Writers' Factory (also supported by the Scottish Arts Council and Scottish Enterprise) and whose deadlines are the same as those of the Producers'.

Last but not least is Skills Development, providing up to £250 (Euros360), with applications selected on a bi-monthly basis by 27 June, 27 August, 24 October and 5 December 2003.

Select the “Training Bursaries” page of the above listed website to download the relative entry forms.
