The Calabresi multiplex in San Benedetto del Tronto will host the landmark 10th edition of the Libero Bizzarri Prize for documentaries.
To celebrate, the organisers have put together a particularly rich programme that includes tributes to Nicholas Philibert and Franco Piavoli, the screenings of Wim Wenders’ The Soul of a Man, Marco Tullio Giordana’s La meglio gioventù [+see also:

film profile] as well as the fiction debut of acclaimed documentary maker, Costanza Quatriglio. The programme also includes Nanni Moretti’s The Last Costumer and Marco Simon Puccioni’s Quello che cerchi as well as a debate about “The future of the documentary. The problems and prospectives of documentaries in Italy”
There are three competitive sections: the self-explanatory Itaila Doc worth Euros5,000, International Doc worth Euros3,500 and Marche Doc (for filmmakers from or living in that region) worth Euros2,500.
