Sand Storm shines at the Ophir Awards

film profile], a family drama set in the Bedouin community, triumphed at Israel’s Ophir Awards ceremony, held on September 22. The film won six trophies, including Best Feature Film – which means it will also be representing Israel in the Oscar race for the statuette for the Best Foreign Film (read news).
Rama Burshtein’s latest effort Through the Wall (presented in Venice’s Orizzonti section) was the other big winner of the night, taking home three prizes. Also in the winners list, we can find Udi Aloni’s Israeli-German-US co-production Junction 48 [+see also:
