- Five films at the stage of works in progress will participate in the Thessaloniki Goes to Cannes event, supported by the Greek Film Centre

The Thessaloniki International Film Festival, in partnership with the Greek Film Centre, has announced the kick-off of the collaboration with the Cannes Film Festival, which this year will take place from 17 to 28 May. TIFF’s Agora Industry event will participate in the “Goes to Cannes” initiative of this year’s edition of Cannes’ Marché du Film.
On Tuesday, 23 May, during the 70th Cannes Film Festival, the Thessaloniki International Film Festival will present five fiction and documentary films at post-production stage from Greece and the surrounding area. These films will be showcased to the sales agents, distributors and programmers who attend this year’s Cannes’ Marché du Film, one of the world’s largest film markets, discovering up-and-coming directors from all over the world.
