Written by the director and Antoine Raimbault, the screenplay centres around a grandfather with Alzheimer’s who goes on a journey when his grandson signs him up for his basketball club final.
Produced by Thibault Gast and Matthias Weber for 24 25 Films, In the Game is being co-produced by France 3 Cinéma and Belgian company Nexus Factory. Also pre-purchased by Canal+ and OCS, the feature is also being supported by the A Plus Image SOFICA. Filming started on 21 June in Paris and the areas surrounding Marseille and Lyon. UGC is handling the film’s distribution in France and international sales.
