The Amanda Nominations

- The winners of the local film industry’s top awards will be announced on 22 August. The 2003 best film nominations include Jens Lien, Bent Hamer and Pål Øien

The Amandas, Norway’s most important film and TV awards, will be handed out on the evening of 22 August during a gala event that national television will broadcast live. A total of 160 domestic titles (14 cinema features, 22 short films, 19 documentaries, 13 children’s films and 5 TV productions) will compete in 8 categories.
This year’s novelty is the first Amanda for Best Nordic Newcomer, sponsored by Canal+ and worth NKR50,000 (Euros6,000).
