Copenhagen showcases Euro Films

The first edition of the Copenhagen International Film Festival is scheduled to unroll in the Danish capital from 13-20 August 2003. A total of fourteen films will compete for the Golden Swan award assigned by a jury presided over by Theo Angelopoulos.
Scandinavian films dominate the selection, with three from Denmark: The Bouncer by Jesper W. Nielsen (Okay, Scratch by Anders Gustafsson and The Tenth Muse by Torben Skjødt Jensen, dedicated to silent film diva, Asta Nielsen. There is one Danish co-production, Song for a Raggy Boy by Aisling Walsh plus two Norwegian features: Kitchen Stories by Bent Hamer and Falling Sky by Gunnar Vikene.
