Tickets at Euros2
On 3 July it will be possible to see a film in Italy for just Euros2. The promotional event was organised by ANEC, the national exhbitors' guild as a way of creating awareness of the Italian film industry in general and theatrical exhibition in particular, and will run concurrently with the General Meeting of Italy's film exhibitors in Rome. To date, over 700 theatres nationwide have joined the scheme.
Several important issues will be discussed at the exhibitors' meeting. They include rental costs, keeping theatres open during the summer, and an examination of the ways in which closure of city centre cinemas can be avoided. Audiovisual piracy and film promotion are also on the table.
