The film selection process for the landmark 20th edition of EuropaCinema in Viareggio from 20-27 September is currently underway. The event was set up by Felice Laudadio.
Twelve European films will have their world premieres and compete for the EuropaCinema Platinum Awards for, respectively, best producer, director, actor, actress and screenwriter. The final decision is in the hands of an international jury of experts.
EuropaCinema will pay tribute to Federico Fellini, whose contribution was fundamental to starting up this important event in its first home, Rimini, back in 1984. There is also a section dedicated to the best new Italian productions. Those who wish to submit a feature-length or short film are invited to download entry forms and the regulations from the EuropaCinema web site. There is a 31 July deadline.
