To present foreign film projects to French producers and outsource funding: that is the goal of the first edition of Paris Project, scheduled to run from 6-7 July during Paris Cinéma (2-15 July). The result of a joint venture between ACE (Atélier du Cinéma Européenne) and the Rotterdam Film Festival’s CineMart, 25 French producers will take part in Paris Project where they wil see six feature proejcts, four of which European: The Weather Idiot by Nana Djordjadze and Catherine by Agnieszka Holland – both produced by Germany’ s Egoli Toosel Film, as well as Chronique d’Algérie by Karim B. Traïda (produced by Holland’s Motel Films) and Gorgomeesh by Nora Hoppe and produced by the Teutonic Flying Moon Filmproduktion.

France has a long-running tradition of co-producing international films and the following companies sent representatives to Paris Project: Haut et Court, MK2 Productions, Rezo Films, Agat Films , ARP Sélection, ARTE, Les Films du Losange, Wild Bunch, the Coproduction Office et FPI - Flach Pyramide International.
