Irréversible
After his memorable visit to Cannes in 1998 with Seul contre tous, the young Franco-Argentinian film director Gaspar Noé has returned to shock audiences once again with his latest film, Irréversible. This movie pulls no punches and is certainly not for the faint of heart. It stars France´s hottest couple, Monica Bellucci and Vincent Cassell. She is a young woman who submits to rape by a stranger and her ex-husband and her lover decide to take their revenge. The violence of some of the scenes has already generated column inches in French papers and the well-informed assure us that next on Noé´s list is an erotic film based on George Bataille´s L´histoire de l´oeil.
