Support for Vinterberg’s latest
Dear Wendy, Danish director Thomas Vinterberg’s latest feature was one of the lucky ten European feature projects that will receive Eurimages funding. The decision was taken after the EU’s co-production support fund’s latest meeting in Riga, Latvia.
Co-produced by France, Denmark, Germany and the United Kingdom, Dear Wendy was assigned Euros647,000 under the terms of Eurimages Scheme 1 Fund which evaluates a given project’s circulation potential.
Produced by Sisse Graum Olsen for Lucky Punch, the result of a joint venture between Zentropa Productions and Nimbus Film, Dear Wendy is Vinterberg’s second English-language title after Festen and has a guaranteed budget of Euros6.750m. Vinterberg is scheduled to start filming on HD 24P later on this year and Trust Film Sales will handle the international sales.
