Extending the range

by

Representatives of industry operators involved in the Euromed Audiovisual I programme, and their institutional and private partners met in Brussels on 9 July to discuss the details of the scheme and the next steps to take. On 10 July the meeting was opened up to include representatives of both the partners and the EU members states’ audiovisual institutions in a spirit of collaboration.
A wide-ranging consensus was voiced with regards to support for the preservation of Europe’s audiovisual heritage, as well as for development, distribution, exhibition and training. The participants stressed the importance of outsourcing new synergies in order to maximise the efficiency of undertakings and focus projects on European youth.
All those taking part agreed on the importance of maintaining this programme: Euromed Audiovisual II and keeping it adjourned with the latest industry developments.
