Lena His is to succeed Vinca Wiedemann as the new feature film consultant at the Danish Film Institute. Wiedemann is leaving to take up a new position as the artistic director of a committee for training new filmmaking talent, and is scheduled to begin work on 15 September.
His, a former employee of the Swedish Film Institute and a former feature film production consultant for Swedish state broadcaster, SVT in Stockholm and Malmö, also co-produced a spate of Danish hit movies.
The DFI board also confirmed Henning Camres' mandate as the institution’s managing director until 2006.
