TIMVision enters the world of film and TV series production

TIMVision is entering the world of film and television production and is due to launch its first projects following agreements made with some of the major players in the sector, such as Wildside, Lucky Red, Cross Productions, Oplon Film and Bibi Film. The online platform (formerly known as Cubovision) owned by the landline and mobile telecommunications operator TIM, is one of the main players in one of the most anticipated projects of the upcoming television season, L'amica geniale, based on the international bestselling novel by Elena Ferrante. An HBO-RAI Fiction and TIMVISION series, the project was produced by Lorenzo Mieli and Mario Gianani for Wildside and Domenico Procacci for Fandango, in co-production with Umedia Production. Also eagerly awaited is Skam Italia, which starts today, a series co-produced with Cross Productions and directed by Ludovico Bessegato. This is a remake of the Norwegian cult series which has become popular with teenagers across Europe. Extremely innovative, it’s unique in its ability to show life in parallel with social networks. TIMVision will also be producing a docu-series on the popular band Dark Polo Gang for a young audience. The series, co-produced with Oplon Film in association with Ringo Film, is due to be directed by Tommaso Bertani and Carlo Salsa.

film profile], the debut film by the young director Dario Albertini, co-produced with Bibi Film. The film, presented this year at the 74th Venice Film Festival, was very much appreciated by critics and audiences and has already won several European awards.
TIMVision's goal is to reinforce digital content and joint bids thanks to exclusive original premium content. “Thanks to new productions and co-productions created with important players in the sector, we are continuing to develop content in a distinctive way for our customers, with both Italian and international quality content, as well as the use of new creative tools and ways of watching content such as online or on social networks, created by young writers and directors for young people," says Daniela Biscarini, Head of Multimedia Entertainment & Consumer Digital Services at TIM.
