Filming of the hotly-anticipated fourth season of Gomorrah will commence in mid-April, following the shocking third season finale, aired in December 2017, which saw the main protagonist, iconic Ciro Di Marzio (played by Marco D'Amore) die. The actor from Caserta, recently seen in Ugly Nasty People [+see also:

Already a screenwriter, producer and actor in the film Un posto sicuro [+see also:

Enrico Rosati will also be working with him, after previously working as an assistant director of the first three seasons and the director of Gomorrah VR - We Own the Streets, in competition at the 2017 Venice Film Festival in the VR section, as will Ciro Visco, assistant director of the first three seasons.
After the death of Ciro, Genny (Salvatore Esposito) and Patrizia (Cristiana Dell'Anna) will have to establish a new balance in the system, while Enzo (Arturo Muselli) and Valerio (Loris De Luna) have secured the position of their clan in the centre of Naples. New threats and ruthless enemies await the protagonists: Genny will have to make some difficult decisions to protect his family.
