EVENTS Belgium

Films & Kids

by

The Royal Belgian Film Library is scheduled to launch an initiative called Young Filmfans on 5 October. Organised with the Magic Lantern film club, the aim of the event is to teach children about the history of cinema but in a fun way.

The event will take place in the concert hall at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels, where a selection of classics aimed at children of between 6 and 12 years of age will be screened. Each film will be preceded by a 15-20 minute live show that will explain the film to the children. The event will open with Nosferatu by F.W. Murnau. The film will be accompanied by live piano music.
