- The French filmmaker will head up the jury deciding on the best overall documentary from across the many Cannes selections
Created in 2015 by Scam, alongside the Cannes Film Festival and in partnership with Ina (the French national audio-visual institute), The Golden Eye award distinguishes the best documentary from across the many Cannes selections (the 71st edition of which will run from 8 to 19 May) and the winner will be decided upon this year by a jury presided over by French director Emmanuel Finkiel (who recently won acclaim for Memoir of Pain [+see also:

Joining Finkiel on the jury are English director Kim Longinotto, French actress Lolita Chammah, and critic Isabelle Danel, also from France, and the American, Paul Sturz (director of True/False Film Fest).
