Teutonic film director, Werner Herzog is known for his predilection for life’s mysteries: his filmography includes titles like Nosferatu (1978), Even Dwarves Started Small (1971) and The Enigma of Kaspar Hausen (1974). The 60-year-old director’s latest project runs along similar lines: The Mystery of Loch Ness. According to a “The Daily Telegraph”, Herzog will be spending time on the banks of the Scottish loch, asking locals about Nessie. He is optimistic “It would be wonderful if I managed to find and film the monster because I’d never have to work again!” The outlook is bleak since recent explorations of the deep waters with the latest ultrasound technology failed to reveal the slightest trace of the loch’s most famous inhabitant.
