Since it inception, the Berlin-based NIPKOW Programme has been providing long-term training schemes for TV and film professionals from every sector of the industry through courses, internships with established media companies and practical advice.
NIPKOW has been instrumental in establishing and consolidating joint European ventures that lead to numerous successful and award-winning European co-productions being made.
Supported by the Media Programme and the Berlin-Brandenburg Filmboard , the NIPKOW Programme is open to European professionals from Media Plus member states and offers training in the following fields: film, TV, video, scriptwriting, camera, sound, art direction; funding, production, marketing and distribution; new technologies, multimedia, interactivity, digital editing; TV computer design and computer graphics and animation.
Twice a year (spring and autumn) an international jury of experts selects candidates. Submissions must be in English, include a CV/ filmography plus a detailed plan for the development of the projects while in Berlin, plus two original written recommendations and a sample of work either in DVD, VHS or CD formats. The NIPKOW programme provides monthly grants of €1,500 for periods of between 3-to-6 months and the deadline for the next scheduled selection is 15 September. Submissions should be made to:
