Love according to Lagerlöf
Miffo, the third feature film by Daniel Lind Lagerlöf is out in Sweden today. Audiences will remember Lind Lagerlöf for his hit comedy, >Making Babies, released in February 2001, which sold over 300,000 tickets.
Written by Lind Lagerlöf’s wife, Malin, Miffo is about a Protestant pastor, played by Jonas Karlsson, who moves to a poor neighbourhood of Stockholm and falls in love with a social worker who lives with her alcoholic mother.
Lagerlöf also produced Miffo on behalf of Hägring AB, and the film received a production grant of €330,000 from the SFI (Swedish Film Institute), acting on advice from its feature film consultant, Lena Hansson-Varhegyi. Sonet Film is distributing this title.
