A short’s long journey

chanson-chanson, the first short film directed by Xavier Diskeuve is touring the world. After being selected for events in Marrakech, Namur, Caen, Evreux, Huy, Amines, Villeurbanne, Rotterdam, Moustier, Ile Mauric and Toronto, the film was presented in Melbourne and is scheduled to screen in Sarajevo, Ludwigsburg and at the Enzymes festival in Rome. Last year Chanson-Chanson won the UIP award in Gand and is a probable European Film Awards nominee too.
The film is a comedy about a man who comes to Paris to take part in a song competition and stars Nicolas Buysse, François Maniquet and Alain Azarkadon and was produced by Canal C and Ze Box with The Big Family handling distribution.
Meanwhile, Xavier Diskeuve just completed his second short film, Mon cousin Jacques, made on location this summer in Namur with a cast that includes François Maniquet, Nicolas Buysse, Alain Azarkadon, Jean Giar, Nicole Colchat, Christelle Cornil and Nathalie Uffner.
